Big Bend Resort & Adventures
Big Bend National Park, one of the largest parks in the United States, is a wildly beautiful natural region where you can explore the Rio Grande on a raft, bird watch in the Chihuahuan Desert, hike through the Chisos Mountains, or ride through the trails once used by the original inhabitants of the legendary American West.
Conveniently located 3 miles from the western entrance to Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Resort & Adventures offers full-service lodging at the gateway to an unlimited amount of options for a vacation full of fun, relaxation, adventure, or nothing at all - whatever your adventure takes you.
Big Bend Resort & Adventures is also near the town of Terlingua, which was once a prosperous mining village built during the height of the old west in the mid-1880s. In 1922, forty percent of the nation's quicksilver was produced here. By the 1940's, Terlingua was a ghost town. Since then, Terlingua has gained notoriety by attracting over 10,000 visitors to their annual International Chili Cookoff.
